Inro Gets Her Man

I've been so busy with the house that all I've had time for is trying a few wigs on Inro. Handling her  is a delight. I wish all of my non-Sybarite resin dolls posed like this one. I don't want to make a detailed comparison between her and the Sybarite body except for the hands.  Inro's hands are far superior and were easy to change out. I do have sets of expressive hands for my Sybs but when I attempted to see how difficult it would be to pull out a hand to get to the stringing, I decided to pass.

In this image, Inro is wearing a Cheryl Wood wig. Although it was made for Sybarites, it is resting on her head nicely. It would fall right off if I tilted her.

I did have time to get a man for this lady. Tonner's basic Hogyo arrived today. I don't know why I didn't like this doll at first. He is my second Hogyo and I really think he's great-looking. I love the pony tail!

These are Instagrammed pictures shot with my iPad. One day soon, these dolls will make it into my studio for a proper photo shoot.

Several "older" couples inhabit my showcases. Here's one Gene and Trent. I like the chiseled look of Trent but the Trent bodies are stiff and can barely pose at all. Even the Trents that Integrity Toys made for the last Gene convention are stiff as they used the same design for the body. I love Gene more now than I did when I first met her. I can't wait to see what Mel has up his sleeve at IDEX.

Emilia's INRO Has Arrived

Inro is standing on my computer desk right now. I can't stop looking at her!
I took a few quickie shots with my iPad of the "opening ceremonies."
There was a wonderful surprise in the box with the doll. A full sized picture-on-fabric backdrop was included!
Her attached paddle-shaped hands would be perfect for gloves if one was so inclined. She does come with three sets of expressive hands.
She exceeds my expectations.
Normally I don't apologize for my pictures but this doll deserves better and these are posted for us picture-hungry collectors.
As someone else has posted, if any are still available and you're on the fence, don't hesitate to buy her now. She's not like an untested new model car. This doll is fabulous.

INRO - First Limited Edition Inamorata Doll

At about 6PM EST on February 15, Inro LE 40 went on sale. Here is the description as best told by her creator, Emilia Nieminen:

Inro is the first ever limited edition Inamorata doll. The Inamorata are 16" fashion ball jointed dolls made of polyurethane resin, have 21points of articulation and come with 4 pairs of exchangeable hands. Click the links to see the doll measurements and to read more about Inamorata dolls. Inro has a subble make up in earthen tones amplified by a fluttering set of over long runway eyelashes. She has a full body blushing and nail polish in deep maroon.
Inro's fashions is a modern haute couture interpretation of a samurai armour and she carries a 1:1 scale inro box as her purse. The outfits consists of a corset teddy that can also be worn as lingerie, a pencil skirt armoured with hand-painted bamboo slips and an intricately detailed leather jacket. The inro box purse is printed with golden paintings on each side: one with a cicada and the other with a dragonfly. Our beauty teeters on a pair of precariously high heeled boots carved and hand-painted with an Asian lacquer painting landscape in gold and black. Inro's elaborate geisha style hard cap wig is hand-made by PattaArt in pale gold in the highest quality KatSilk fiber.

Inamorata Mirrorball by Emlia Nieminen

Today's email from Haute Doll stated:

"The long wait is finally over: the INAMORATA doll line was revealed in an exclusive article by Jill Jackson on the Haute Doll January 2013 issue. Get your HD issue on stores now or order eletronically!"

That was very intriguing news as Emilia has been sending out teasers for a while. Well, the dolls look like they are going to be quite wonderful. No information on pricing was available. They are 16" polyurethane resin BJDs with 20 points of articulation. Emilia states that they were designed to look as good undressed as dressed.

Here are pictures of the OOAK that Emilia shows on her Flickr Site that will be auctioned off at IDEX in a few months.

In my opinion, Emilia is one of the most talented persons in the doll world. She says that these dolls are the realization of her life-long dream. I think it's a supreme, creative achievement and I am looking forward to seeing these dolls in the hands of collectors.

If you wish to see more images and read Emilia's artist statement you will need to get the Haute Doll digital edition.
