Get Your $1200. Sweatshirt Here

There may be a few readers who wouldn't blink an eye at the cost of Jason Wu's "wool/nylon/spandex/silk; polyester lining"  sweatshirt- styled top selling for $1195. at Bergdorf Goodman right now.  Personally, I have other priorities although I do love it and I would definitely wear it - often.

However, if you would like to go the miniature route, the Fashion's Night Out version is available for pre-order at Bergdorf's right now. There is no indication of the edition size although I'm sure we'll find that out shortly.

The doll has an open mouth sculpt! Who is this? Is Vanessa returned on an FR2 body?

Ennui, Tea and Me Pictures

Before I go into a description of the presentation that was made at the luncheon this afternoon, I am going to post what most people are interested in - the pictures.  In another post, I will share more information.

First up are some of the competition dolls. If I took a picture of your creation and you would like to use it, just let me know so I can call off the spies.  I  have spies everywhere that report to me when they see someone else using my images.  ^**^ Click on the individual pictures to see them larger. There are wonderful details.

Next up are the soon-to-be-released dressed dolls and outfits from both Ellowyne and Evangeline lines.

"Sugar"     OOAK Poppy Parker by idrusa
Isn't this just adorable? The repaint and reroot colors are perfect for Poppy Parker. She's verrrry sweet now!
This was originally a Beatnik Blues Poppy. Idrusa did a wonderful job of transforming that doll into "Sugar."

Toxica Plus

One of my favorite doll photographers goes by the name aquabluerose and posts regularly on Prego. I am not a collector of the beautiful Sybarite dolls but I appreciate her collection and her images. Gerri knows how to edit. I am sure she takes scores of pictures at each photo shoot and then chooses the best and only the best to post. It's so boring to open a post and see pictures of the same doll in the same outfit with a fraction of difference between each of about 10 pictures. I never look past the first two or three. But when one amazing image is posted I spend time oohing and aahing.
Today she posted pictures of Toxica. Here is one of them:
Toxica "Sun"

After enjoying those, I drifted over to her website, infidel, to look at more.
Toxica "Blood Flower"
Play "Armadillo"

Paranormal Misaki

Kill me now. I've started up with the Misakis again. I thought I kicked the habit a few years ago when I sold my entire collection. Sigh. I tell myself it's OK because I'm not pre-ordering and paying retail. I'm hunting for bargains and finding them. (It's a sickness.)

I removed Paranormal's hat because it hides her lovely hair. She is so pretty.

Since purchasing Red Rabbit Misaki, seen below in Go Home's outfit,  Paranormal Misaki, Pure Evil Misaki, Ye-Ye Amelie and Royal Amelie have joined the tribe.

Misaki dolls' feet are larger than Nu-Face/Fashion Royalty feet. I didn't want to force the red boots onto her. The shoes are a Volks' product.

Yes, these are point and shoot photos. My bad.

Take A Look Inside New York's Iconic Madame Alexander Doll Factory by Robert Johnson

Altagracia Villa, seamstress, at Madame Alexander's
I thought they had ended the tours but it seems they're still going on. I am aching to go visit! A real factory in New York City that still operates is unusual. Check out this article which has lots of good pictures. Click on the picture below.

And while we're talking about Madame Alexander, I thought I'd show you a few Jason Wu styled items that are on sale directly from the Madame Alexander website. As always, do your research before making a purchase because prices can vary widely and you may find less expensive options on eBay and on dealers' sites.

IMOGEN Repaint by Juan Albuerne

This is a seriously talented man. Juan Albuerne posted a few pictures of his Imogen repaint today on Facebook. Take a look at these!

There's so much depth in Juan's repaints. He approaches each one differently...no cookie cutter formula redo anywhere.
