Redressing: Domina, Fidele and Veroniques

We all have had  the experience of finding the perfect outfit for a doll. When that happens to me, I don't want to redress her. I love looking at my dolls. It gives me joy. When a new fashion arrives it sometimes takes a while to decide who will undergo the change.  Such a problem. :-)

Last week I experienced a redressing frenzy; the ensuing photo shoot resulted.

Domina models"Etoile" which I was able to get at the recent Superdoll sale for half the original price. This fashion comes with a pretty neckpiece which is not shown in my photo.

Fidele is modeling Madra's "Devil May Care" costume. This was produced by Ashton Drake in 2000.
Her shoes are from a Gen X 12-pair shoe pack. They fit the resin dolls very well.

Finally, a 2005 Fashion Royalty Veronique known as "Foreign Affair" who has been switched to an FR2 body models a mini dress by Huckleberry Jackson.

My rerooted, rebodied "Body Double" Veronique models "Perfect Reign" Tatyana's gown in front of the tree. I give a great deal of credit to anyone who was able to put on the elbow length lace gloves. I gave up after about a minute.

Huckleberry Jackson's 2012 Line

Huck announced the debut of his new line which goes on sale today at 9PM CET Central European Time. I believe that is a 6 hour difference from eastern time. They would be 6 hours ahead. So  9PM CET = 3 PM EST.
Here is a group shot showing some of the offerings.

Explaining that he is so happy to own these dolls now, he designed an outfit specifically for each doll as opposed to creating a thematic presentation.

New Outfits

I was lucky to get one of Huckleberry Jackson's latest creations. I think it's perfect on Flawless Elyse. The shoes are from an FR2 outfit.

Here is Blue Blood Elise wearing her own bustier (in the second photo,) Go West's skirt and Malicious' jacket. I love this sculpt!

Couture Doll Design Challenge III Winner, Huckleberry Jackson

Faced with plenty of stiff competition by contestants in the US, Canada, Poland, Philippines, Russia and the Ukraine, the only entrant from Germany, Huckleberry Jackson,  swept several of the challenges completely. He is one seriously talented designer!

The final overall scores are presented in this chart:

It is apparent that Jackson's muse is the FR2 doll as most of his entries used these dolls as models.

Congratulations to Huck on this achievement.

Nu.Face Eden in HJ Couture

He goes by the name HJ Couture. Huckleberry Jackson is a great name for a great designer. HJ also creates fashion for human women. I missed out on most of his collection as it sold out quickly but I was in time to nab this beauty.
The fabric is a silky feeling semi-sheer delight. Huckleberry is incredibly skilled with a sewing machine as evidenced by the well applied leather strips and the folded fabric which is symmetrical and perfect.
There is a leather 'train' down the back with ruffles on either side. I will have to photograph that detail. The dress slips on either from the bottom up or vice versa. The arm openings are large. HJ shows the dress worn with and without a belt. I like it this way.
Click on the photo to see it full-sized.

Background setting is Bella! RWV floor, walls and windows. The prop is a black velvet ring display item.
