2019 IT Convention: Poppy Parker Luncheon and Fashion Bazaar

Poppy Parker Luncheon

"Today began with more shopping and some amazing workshops!
Then, guests were again welcomed to the ballroom for the special 10th anniversary Poppy Parker luncheon. An oh-so-cute Love is Blue Poppy Parker graced the runway as the centerpiece doll, who looked gorgeous against the backdrop of the matching ballroom! And, to make the event even better, all attendees were given the adorable Pink Powder Puff Poppy Parker doll!
After another fun-filled afternoon of shopping and workshops, convention guests got to mix, mingle, snack on some delicious appetizers and score some great deals while shopping from their fellow conventioneers, all set to the backdrop of the hottest music at the highly anticipated return of the Fashion Bazaar!"

There were many Style Lab Collection fashions. See below. There were also several basic Poppy dolls. Each was dressed in a simple pink bodysuit.

Edit: Rogier was kind enough to provide me with this photo of all the Poppy gals available at the event:

Here are the fashions, some modeled by the dolls above. They were available separately as were the dolls.

2019 Integrity Toys Convention

2019 Integrity Toys Convention

I'm posting groups of dolls right from the W Club emails they send. I've included the descriptions. No prices are listed for the salesroom or other dolls. Most of the dolls have already hit eBay. I'd wait as the prices usually fall after a while except for the most desirable dolls.

The 3rd W Club Doll of 2019 - My Brutal Opinion

There is not a thing I like about these two dolls except Nadja's face.
The first turn-off was the metal barrettes and earrings which dominate their appearance in the first photo. I also think there's something off about Erin's face. Her eyes are squinty and her mouth is strange. Her eyebrows come down too far towards her nose. Her features do not work well together, IMO.
Nadja has a beautiful face but it needs to be a matte finish and allowed to be the main feature, not overwhelmed by big hair, metallic ornaments and pink/black leopard print. She's overdone and it takes away from her face.

Take a look at these outfits. I want to know what street corner these two are working.
What's with the plastic coat over a slip? Don't tell me the slip is a dress. That's lingerie.

She has lost her dress.
Adding a plastic coat for modesty's sake.

Staying warm with hot pants.

You take that corner; I'll take this one.

The designer is Jesse Ayala.
Erin Salston "Your Motivation" and Nadja Rhymes "Like No Other" are available separately at $145 each plus S&H.
This is a W Club Member Exclusive pre-order. Edition size depends upon how many are ordered.
Shipping expected Winter 2019-2020.
One of each doll per membership.

Part 2: Celebrating Tonner's Antoinette Body

When Tonner introduced Antoinette in 2009, she was an instant success. My first was Cameo Antoinette.  You can do a search on this blog using the word 'Antoinette.'
The Antoinette body was used for Cami, newer Theatre de la Mode, Duchess, Jonquil, Breathless, Scintillating Ashleigh, and all Precarious.
Here is what remains of my dolls who share the Antoinette body type.

Antoinette "Hear Me Roar" wearing a dress from RnD Designs.
Hear Me Roar was part of the OZ line. There was a Tin Man, A Lion and a Scarecrow in fabulous costumes.

Antoinette "Simplicity" wearing New York Jet
I don't believe the name of the dress has anything to do with the football team :-) but it's awfully close.
This is another gorgeous, curly-haired Antoinette.
One of the greatest contributions Tonner Doll Co. made to collectors was the creation of hundreds of individually available boxed fashions.  It originally came with a wig and different shoes than my model is wearing. I wonder what I did with that wig.

Glamorous #75 (Gina Sculpt)

Elegance #93 (Gina Sculpt)

Noir # 99 (Gina Sculpt)
Wearing "Griffin Splendor"
Her hair has been taken down.

Above is the original Noir #99. I took her hair down because the wrapped "bun" on top of her head was twice as high and made her look like a cone head.

Excellent Tonner Body Comparison Photo from Dreamcastle Dolls

Dreamcastle Dolls' website has a fantastic Tonner database.  I have used it quite often.
This photo is posted there. Of all these bodies, my favorite is Antoinettes. Cami has the same body as do several other characters who came after Antoinette.
