Amazonia Event! Tonner Convention

Another cool set of dolls:

Centerpiece is 22" Amazonia Wonder Woman

Souvenir is Amazonia Wonder Woman 16" Doll

I like the 16" doll very much. I must find out what sculpt is being used for her.

Tonner Convention: Let it Sew!

The breakfast this morning featured Amelia Thimble. Guests were asked to wear their most hilarious holiday fashions. Wish I could have been there to see them.

Tonner and Staff and Santa
The table favor was:

Centerpiece doll. Christmas Morning Patsy.

I added this after the post above was made. I'm guessing this was a companion doll available for purchase to all convention attendees.

Tonner Convention: Animal Magnetism

Gentlemen Prefer Blondes - Friday Night at Tonner

Here is the new 16" Marilyn doll called "Animal Magnetism." She was the break-out event souvenir.  I read on Prego that she uses a combination of the Tyler bust and the curvy hip bodies. (Starting to sound like Integrity Toys with the mix and match bodies.)
I'm not sure but isn't it unusual for Tonner to do an open lip doll? I remember that Pin Up had sort of open lips. Who else?

Tonner Convention: The Marilyn Centerpiece

Here is the highly anticipated Marilyn doll that's been hinted at for months. The biggest surprise is that she is 22" tall.  That's a lot of doll! I think she may be unique, not for her fashion but for her size.  I don't have any dolls that size except for Cissy.
I'm guessing there will be gorgeous fashions replicating her famous costumes. I wonder if there are enough collectors willing to go this large. There is already the 22" American Model market collectors so this may not be so far out.
What do you all think?

The Madame Alexander Marilyn is 16"

The Matttel MM is 11"

Below: three others I found. The first two are from the Franklin Mint and the third is from the Estate of MM and Twentieth Century Fox.  I do not know the measurements of the last one.

Vinyl Portrait Dress-up Doll; 15 1/8" tall; Original Price $110

Porcelain, 19" tall; released 1991, original price $200.

The real doll!

Tonner Convention Part 2

Dreamcastle Dolls posted excellent pictures of the first set of dolls. I'll be watching her site for updates to keep you informed.

Shelly
Shelly looks and reminds me of Gene Marshall with the period hairstyle and the coloring. This is a very pretty doll. I have read that she is the Supergirl sculpt. That just happens to be my favorite Tonner sculpt of all time.
Kay
Paul
Judy (this is not the volunteer doll)
Some great staff photos:

Captain, Oh Captain...
I'll go anywhere!
Why does Michelle look amazing in everything she wears, including costumes?
We need to put Jack on a calendar. Whew!
