Bad, Bad Bodies

I'm so disappointed every time I come across a discolored body. 98% of the time the body is an Integrity Toys product. These aren't even old. And what's old anyway? Five years? I don't think so.

The one on the left is a handspeak body and the rest are tall bodies - each has discoloration.

In each and every case, the hands have not turned yellow, making the rest of the body look even worse.

It's a very good reason to abandon collecting these dolls. I don't know if the FR2 bodies are discoloring but they are very swingy now. It's odd because they're not strung dolls. I know that strung dolls can get swingy with time. The FR2 haven't even been around for very long.

I read somewhere that someone had success with either bleach or peroxide in restoring the vinyl to it's original color. Anyone remember that?

Yom Kippur is one of the holiest days of the year for the Jewish people.

This post is not doll related although is was sparked by the realization that the Fashion Royalty/Integrity Toys convention is scheduled for the same weekend upon which Yom Kippur falls this year. I'm in a state of shock and agitation. For all their worldly behavior and pretense, the staff in charge of scheduling this event has no clue that other religious backgrounds besides their own may exist. Carol Roth is Jewish.

Many secular Jews do not observe other holidays or traditions through the year (just like people of other religions. )BUT:
Wikipedia says it best:

It's difficult for me to believe that you can live in this country and not be aware of Yom Kippur.

There's a site that I visit sometimes that states "because if we don't say something they might think we don't care." 

I care.

The Dynamite team does not disappoint. The buzz about the new male dolls is alive with collector happiness especially for Auden. The price has gone up a bit but I think these dolls are still a decent value for the money.
