This beautiful poem helps a little.
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

So sorry Terri, I truly believe we will all meet again after death, and we will all see our loved ones again, and you will see your little Rudy again, love Monica. ( I have a beautiful liitle poodle girl, Chloe aged 16).
ReplyDeleteDear Terri,
ReplyDeleteI am so sad today...there are no words I can say to convey how sorry I am for you and Bob. Losing a beloved pet is so painful...the extent that is often indescribable. They are like a child to us. Rudy is in your heart forever. In my mind, Terri and Rudy are linked always...could not think of one without the other. I will enjoy looking at the many photos of Rudy. I remember the first time I met him at Marcia's BBQ and patted his precious, red & curly little head!
You take care now and let me know if there is anything I can say to help.
With love,
Gerri XXXOOO

ReplyDeleteWe will all miss hearing about Rudy. There's a place for us dog lover's called the Rainbow Bridge; you might find some comfort there... certainly, you won't be alone. You have my sincerest sympathies; I'm so very sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful pictures of Rudy, and I love how he is "getting to know" some of your dolls. My dogs do that, too, very gingerly, as if they understand somehow. Pets are a very important part of the family for many of us, and their loss affects us tremendously. Know that we're thinking of you and your family during this difficult time.
