News, reviews and photographs of Modern Fashion Dolls including Kingdom Doll, Fashion Royalty, Sybarite, Tonner Doll, Gene Marshall, Barbie and my own experiences as a doll collector.
OK, call me crazy (you wouldn't be the 1st) but I thought this doll was a bit clever within the context of "The Sydney Confidential Ladies Day"...which inspires the wearing of hats almost as whimsical as those seen at "The Kentucky Derby".
And...Well...I do like the dress. The hair? I don't know.
Anyway, I love your blog and always look forward to your updates.
Ah, I see. Well...it's all very entertaining, isn't it? Dolls, I mean. I did think of Effanbee's, "Starr of the Red Carpet" when I first saw this dress...not that you couldn't (or shouldn't) blow a whistle on that one, too. :-)
W: Good comparison. That's another example of bows and gift wrap gone wrong. It's even more unfortunate because the fabric on SRC is gorgeous. Here is a link for any readers who might be wondering what the Brenda Starr gown to which we are referring looks like: http://www.effanbeedoll.com/BStarr/B391a.jpg
I do not publish readers' links or email addresses. If you wish to contact me or wish me to see something, find me on Facebook and send a FB message. In addition, Blogger is not letting me comment on comments! I'm trying to reconfigure this but I'm at a loss how to do so.
What was Mr Tonner thinking?

W: I love outrageous hats. It was the dress with the horizontal black bows.
