Last year Rudi Teruel, of R&D Dolls, offered limited editions of fashions from Kha Hoang and FuZin. These are the last two that I purchased and they are just lovely.
"Bleu de Chine" is a complex gown of many folded pieces - almost Origami. Like a good sculpture it looks great from all sides. My model is Fashion Royalty Dasha.

There are several in there I'm sorry to say that I missed out on.

Ooooh- "Bleu de Chine" is my favorite! It reminds me of that painting "The Great Wave off Kanagawa"
ReplyDeleteI know the painting.

Hi Terri, I saw the Metropolitan Museum's China Through the Looking Glass costume exhibit and recognized the blue and white dress as a design of Guo Pei, a Chinese designer. Here is a link, https://fashionstyleguru.wordpress.com/2012/10/18/guo-pei-the-queen-of-chinas-haute-couture/, there are some other photos online that show the headpiece as well.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful to have miniature couture? I wonder if Guo Pei's models are on stilts. Either that or she's a shrimp and they are very tall.
DeleteI thought they were very tall but after seeing the last photo in the link, I see that part of their height comes from their shoes.
