"My Odd Life" Parnilla from Wilde Imagination

My Odd Life Parnilla (resin)
The title of the doll might have been My Odd Face Parnilla.  Seriously, this gal looks like an alien.

By comparison, Evangeline has begun to look normal. "Past Life" Evangeline is, in fact, quite pretty.

  1. This whole line seems to have gone to hell in a handbasket (pun intended). Parnilla was pretty, now she looks like dumbo alien and well, I'm not sure I'll ever get the point of the of "pretty" Evangeline. As for Mr. Tonner and his whole role in this, everything seems down hill in dolly land. At least George saved Gene, there is some decent Resin BJDs, still. Dunno, maybe it's back to ONE or two dolls a years.... saving for those special dolls?

    1. I disagree that "EVERYTHING" is downhill. We each have stuff we like and stuff we don't. That's what makes it interesting.

  2. I really like this Parnilla because she does look kinda like an alien, along with alot of other dolls many people find hideous lol.It all boils down to personal taste, not everyone likes the same esthetic which is a good thing.I see lots of dolls released that look like the Lee sisters,Homa,Ugga,or Fugga to me and people just go bonkers over them.Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess.

    2. Yeah, I like that Parnilla has an unusual look. I don't want EVERY doll to look like a supermodel. I like Evangeline a lot better than Parnilla, though.

  3. Parnilla was odd looking at first to me, then she grew on me and I had to get her so now I have the original (cream & gold lacy gown) and the very sexy heart of darkness (black lingerie), both plastics. 2 is enough of her for me (many dolls lack of space and I should save a little money for the mortgage :)). I don't like the Past Life Evangeline, she is too blonde normal doll to me, I adore the current dark Glamour Evang. I'm not crazy about this Parnilla's eyeshadow with light blue eyes, but since she is resin they can be changed. There is one of her with very green eyes, she has a reptile like quality and I like that since she supposed to be a man stealing bitch.

A note on Evangeline who is my #1 girl: it was pointed out by repaint artists lately that the plastic mold is off, her ears are about a mm off from each other, and the eye sockets are different. The very first Plastic, last year's Paris convention girl had a really nice head, then somehow they ruined it and made most of them bug eyed.

  4. I've noticed they never photograph Evangeline in profile. I assume it's because she has that tiny, ski-jump of a nose. Just my taste, but that made her unacceptable to me.
