W-Club Members Only "RIGHT TO BUY" Lottery For The 2017 IFDC Dolls

Integrity Toys produced three dolls for the 2017 IFDC convention which was called "Dollton Abbey."
Their interpretation of the theme was quite broad as no one would ever mistake any of these dolls as representing the early 20th century in British fashion. (1900-1920)

What do you think of these dolls?

I laughed when I read that these were inspired by early 20th century British fashion. The Adaline King seems to have been inspired by Galliano's Klimt collection for Dior while the other two look like wild west saloon showgirls. Very strange designs.

  2. I noticed you didn't cover NuFace line. No, these dolls do not fit in twenties style, and I do not like how they look. Giselle is overused character these days, we had her as Danced all night two years ago, right?

    1. True. I just never got around to it. My opinion of the NuFace line is that I can't tell one doll from another. Of course everyone loves the twins. I think they're the only ones out of this collection that are nice looking. I love what Lilith is wearing. Why is this line called Heirloom?
As to the IFDC dolls...I never liked Giselle.

    2. Thank you for your thoughts! I like twins set too, love them both.

  3. Mmmm, let's see. I like the gown on "Predictable", not the doll at all. Like the Giselle sculpt on the 3rd one, but nothing else. My only Giselle is on a VR body. I really hate the ridiculous FR bodies --I don't know very many women over 6' tall-- and the faces are bitchier but not really interesting or beautiful. Thanks for the link -- the Antonio Marras collection has some lovely things.

  4. You don't like the Fashion Royalty body or the CI body?

  5. Giselle's make up is very pretty, but hate that she is on an FR body.
Her gown is nice, but does scream "Lounge singer".

The other two dolls are a big No for me.

  6. Any nebulous relationship to Downton Abbey is laughable.

  7. Heirloom-

In the webinar Jessy explained the reason for the name. Each doll comes with an "heirloom" piece they inherited. Some had an heirloom purse, one had a cameo ring, another a mirror , another a brush.

NUface isn't really my style but I get that they're supposed to be funkier than the FR Line. And the two lines have been looking too similar lately.

I think that it's a nice touch the IFDC convention doll has a handpainted outfit I just wish I liked the outfit more. I haven't seen it in person but it just looks a bit strange to me. It's basically a jacket and panties with boots(Great boots though)

    1. Thank you for the information. Regarding the handpainted coat, it is beautiful but the rest of the outfit is not. The boots ARE stunning.

  8. I wish they had gone with period costumes...

Even so, the Giselle and brunette are pretty, but Finley looks like a hot mess. And the IRL dolls seem to have frizzy choppy hair- I appreciate they were trying to do a more unusual hairstyle, but I don't think it worked...

  9. I mean, why make dolls and sculpts that sell and that people have been asking about for years when you can disappoint collectors by making dolls no one asked for and buys?

  10. Roll top thigh high stockings and dresses slit up to the crotch...."under the lamppost stands Lili Marlene..."
    It's a look.
I have so lost interest in this company.
    As always love the blog.

    1. Whomever designed this collection did not watch Downton Abbey and/or didn't care. Those stockings are such a turn-off. As someone above said they look like wild west saloon fashions.

  11. I think all the dolls are lovely. I like to have different sculpts in my collection, and the curly hair is different. I don't have any Finley or Adeline so will enter. I'm not a gown person, but I do think the gowns are nice though not reflective of Downton Abbey.

  12. I thought these dolls missed the mark entirely. I didn't see anything at all resembling Downton Abbey. Which is a shame as they could have been amazing with that theme. Instead, I saw cheap looking playline Barbies that pretty much nobody wants.
