Angelic Dreamz Now Closed

The news that Angelic Dreamz has closed it's on-line business and it's brick and mortar store did not surprise me. George is not the type of businessman to just let the winds of change carry him away. He's a forward thinker who sees trends and does what he can to profit from them and/or in spite of them. JamieShow Dolls has had it's own website for a few years and the recently opened couturedolls.com will be selling select fashion dolls.

I don't know if Couture Dolls will be solely dedicated to selling Integrity Toys' products in the future. I hope not. Hopefully George has plans to grow this site.

One by one the brick and mortar doll shops have shut their doors. Angelic Dreamz was one of the prettiest stores I've ever visited. I wonder if George and Tim will rent it out to some other business.

I pre ordered a FR16 doll from couture dolls, will the store closing affect those who pre ordered FR dolls?

  3. I'm sorry to hear about them closing, but they were always more expensive than other places. I used to look at their Monster High dolls, but each doll was $5.00 more expensive than everywhere else, so I didn't buy them. I don't know what the solution is to the problem the small doll stores are having, but expecting people to pay more to buy from them isn't it.

    1. Did you ever think the reason small stores have to sell Monster High dolls for more is because it cost them more than it cost the big box stores to buy them from Mattel? It's not fair when a manufacture sells at one price to one store but a different price to another, that has been going on for years now, despite fair trade rules which govern that policy, Mattel has been getting away with it for years! So don't blame the small stores! Would you buy something for $19 and sell it for $18 to compete with Walmart? It's a recipe for disaster!

    2. No, I don't blame them, but I also think it isn't realistic for them to think they can continue to do business this way. I personally don't understand why companies like Mattel would do things like this because it doesn't make any sense, but I'm not paying extra just for the privilege of helping to keep a store in business.

  5. It doesn't surprise me they closed. They were extremely overpriced some dolls were up to 20 dollars more that on other websites and their shipping was very high also.

  9. I talked to the guys while I was buying a bunch of Christmas presents for later this year - they're selling the building (www.thefireloft.com) and moving back to Chicago to be with family.
