Barbie Fan Club 2016
Will you be joining? If it weren't for the upcoming articulated Silkstone dolls, I'd be dropping out because these last two years have been very disappointing. What about you?
I think I'll join, just in case the gift is the ballroom chair we have all been asking for.I do agree that the last 2 years have been disappointing as far as the dolls. My guess is that they have been listening and will attempt to woo us back.
I'm going to join this year. I haven't for the last few years because I have slowed down on all of my doll buying. Sadly I missed 2 Barbies I wanted last year that sold out before I had a chance to buy. The chair sounds interesting, and I can see at least 4 purchases to make now.
I am joining this year for the silkstones, and the faraway forest series. I suspect maybe perhaps? they are making the little ballroom chair featured in the dioramas with the silkstones, we can only hope. Alot of collectors wanted that chair reproduced, so maybe they are attempting to do this. The face sculpts on some of the fantasy dolls and the newer dolls are extremely modern looking and do not look so cartoonish so I am hopeful.
I am re-joining this year...I always get my membership fee back with the perks so it's win win in my opinion. I do think Mattel has been listening to us and making changes, and well, you can't beat the sales now and then too. And I also find that it helps, that their customer service is top notch..while I have only had to contact BC on a few occasions over the years, I have always felt like the have more that compensated me for an issues I had. Loving the new articulated Barbielook dolls, and looking forward to the new Silkstones in 2016!
I'll be rejoining pretty much because of the Faraway Forest Collection and the articulated Silkstones. I worry about the price tag for articulation, though. And here's to hoping the outfits on said Silkstones are of better quality, too. This will be my final year if they can't get these things right. :( --KC
I will join because the perks are really great. It is amazing how for 24.95 you get four $20 dollar off coupons. There have been times I only paid for the cost of shipping. Comparing clubs, I think that is a whole lot more perks than IT offers with its $50 dollar fee (which I guess will be higher this year) and one 20 off coupon that cannot even be applied to most items and the fact that we are paying THEM to be a marketing focus group ( I think they should pay us). I guess IT does offer the "first to know" perks, but in terms of what we get, it is not the same. BC is really worth it money wise and is a different club than the W club I guess.
....Exactly. Which is why I always find it ridiculous when people on the W club act oh so grateful that IT is, pretty please with sugar on it, giving them the opportunity to PURCHASE a doll. And also when the W Club itself insists that being in the club is a privilege we should be grateful for, when in reality it is the other way around. Never underestimate the power of manipulation. Someone didn't go to Wharton for nothing.
I have like 2 years off the Barbie Club, and the only thing i regret is the forums and the inside intel on some dolls.. The dolls were not that intersting to me the past years, except for 2 or 3. But articulated Silkstones sounds very interesting to not be part of that.. Just for that I will join this year.
I'll renew again this year, think this makes the 5th year in a row. I manage to make it worth my while with the $20 rewards and the forum info. As for sneaks, perks etc, I'll be cautiously optimistic.
I do not publish readers' links or email addresses. If you wish to contact me or wish me to see something, find me on Facebook and send a FB message. In addition, Blogger is not letting me comment on comments! I'm trying to reconfigure this but I'm at a loss how to do so.

ReplyDeleteI suppose I will, if only to add to my collection of membership cards. I'm also in it for the Silkstones, and curious about the Francie.

I agree with you about the customer service. Any time I've had an issue, they offered either a replacement or a refund immediately.

ReplyDeleteYes, the price for the articulated Silkstone dolls will be very interesting.

ReplyDeleteVery different. I think we should be paid, too. Haha. They thought it out very well, didn't they?
