Integrity Toys "Mother of Pearl" Janay

"Mother of Pearl" Janay Dressed Doll is the celebration of Integerity Toys' 30th Anniversary. She was designed by Jessy Ayala who usually clothes his dolls with way less stuff.

I don't have one of the originals but eBay has a large selection of older Janay Dolls.

Here are two that sold a few months ago called "Bead and Braid Janay." They went for $39.95 each.  These are not my photos and were posted by seller  hipsterwhatnots94.

   I don't see how "Mother of Pearl"  honors the "spirit of the iconic original Janay doll originally manufactured in the 1990's." This doll is an inch shorter, has little Barbie feet and is probably not articulated in the way we expect now. There are no eyelashes either. Perhaps the color of the vinyl and facial features are the same.

Integrity Toys "Popular" Monogram Dressed Doll Gift Set by Chris Stoeckel

 You may know that my collecting has shifted from Integrity Toys dolls to the 16" Kingdom Dolls for the last several years. However, I have kept my W Club Membership and still watch the new dolls coming out. When I saw Chris Stoeckel's Gift Set, I jumped on it. I think the fashions are just fabulous. I would have loved the doll to be wigged. 

I still have several of my original Monogram Dolls and I enjoy having them. I'm wondering about the fact that the listing says this doll has the Poppy Parker body. But upon reading Stratos blog, The Fashion Doll Chronicles, he says: "the only change is that the FR legs are being replaced by Poppy high heeled ones." Apparently, there was a big dust-up on line about the body size. Poppy Parker's feet are also smaller, aren't they? 

This Monogram doll comes with three gorgeous, multi-piece fashions. I can only show the promo photos now as she won't be ready until this coming winter (2025.) It's a positive that there are three different pairs of shoes - just in case. I plan to display all the fashions using two of my other Monograms.
