Buyers of Brigantia, Kingdom Doll's latest release and the second sculpt in the line, have begun to post photos. I found these two by Laurie Lenz to be particularly striking.
You can see more photos of this gorgeous doll and so much more on Prego.http://members5.boardhost.com/prego/
She is just beautiful! This is a doll that I want to find allot more out about even though she is probably so out of my price range. You are just on top of all the groups and blogs! I'm in Den and that is always going down a rabbit hole for me with tons of information and dolls. I still haven't gotten into Prego but I'd love to, they seem to have so many posts and pictures of incredible dolls on there.
ReplyDeleteIf you're in the DOA then you are seeing expensive dolls so she shouldn't be too shocking. Prices for Kingdom Dolls have started at $675. and have gone up.

I am just loving this doll, the body sculpt was apparently adjusted slightly too (starting with Hadrian) and now they pose SO much more easily. I also like that the thinner head/ears area, means that earrings are easier to put in. The new face sculpt is gorgeous too- I love the fashion and wig she came with, but it will be fun to try other things out on her too... Can't wait to see what they come up with next!

It's funny, it's one thing to be around very expensive dolls [as I have with various friends/clients] but actually wanting to own the dolls myself is a different matter. I can appreciate their beauty but whatever unless they move me. Some of the dolls I would most like to have with a couple of exceptions aren't even allowed on DOA because they aren't Asian. There's a Russian artist that I think is living in Canada that creates dolls to die for one of hers would be the top of my list, this one is way up my list from these pics and less expensive than what I expected [I was thinking about double that] but when I went to their website immediately after posting here I saw no prices. I also want a Narah elf from a US seller.
ReplyDeleteI think DOA is way too picky. They do let on non-asian BJD dolls, but have a very specific set of criteria that doesn't always make sense in my opinion.
