Superdoll Collectables' Black Friday Event

I don't know what time they put up their sales items but I know we were on the New Jersey Turnpike when I ordered what I wanted. No, I was not the driver.

Nothing can stop a doll collector - neither a moving car nor sun in her eyes!

Back to reality, in addition to giving 50% off on all items which have languished on their site for a year or more, three new adorable 50's style dress sets debuted at reasonable prices.
I wanted all three so I decided to get none of them. How's that for a reasonable decision?

A new style of shoe is offered with each of the above:

As of right now, they are all still there.

What's a Glitter Tit?

  1. I don't recall receiving an email, but I saw the Black Friday notice on Facebook yesterday, so I headed over to the site. Moon Mood spoke to me, so I picked it up, along with the three camo jackets that I've been thinking about for a while. This one seemed perfectly '50s prom that I couldn't resist. There's way more than a fair share of black already in my doll closet, and that shade of yellow isn't my favorite (plus the teddy bear was a bit -- unsettling).

    1. Why was a teddy bear included in the fashion called Glitter Tit? The entire thing is a puzzlement.

  2. I am not sure about the name... Might be a reference to the burd with its yellow breast, too? Far fetched, I know.
At lesst I can help out on the Teddy. These outfits were previewed during the Convention and Charles mentioned that two come with a Corsage and the dress gor the girl without a date has the teddy bear to comfort her ;)

    1. Thanks for the explanation...it's still pretty strange.

  3. Pretty much what Nina said - that the girls with dates received corsages but the girl going on her own wore her teddy instead ....... as did some of us for the convention dinner. Mind you - I don't come from a country with a background of prom "culture" lol!

  4. I looked the term up on the Urban Dictionary-

    Glittertits
The name for Edward Cullen and other vampires from the Twilight series as dubbed by Michael Buckley of the What The Buck Show.

"In some states this is stalking but this is Glittertits so it's hot." - Michael Buckley

Not seeing the movies or read the books, not sure how accurate this is.

  5. Thank you, Terri for posting this! I have really wanted that jacket set and hoped it would go on sale. Especially paying in USD and all. Just now ordered!

Those shoes look comfortable, for heels.

  6. Thanks for the heads-up! I could wish they'd sent out an email.. :p

Cute prom dresses, but the "clearance" stuff is much more tempting... particularly that Emerald Oyster dress I've been waffling on for a year!

    2. I'm on their mailing list, or at least, I'm on A Superdoll mailing list! But I don't recall seeing a Black Friday email. Perhaps it got drowned out in the Amazon spam... :p

    3. I was surprised that those gowns didn't sell out and were placed on sale. They were just exquisite, and the price wasn't out of line. They are no longer on the site, so the sale worked. :-)

    4. I didn't receive an email either, but was lucky enough to see the Facebook notice. The last email I received from Superfrock was on 2 November about next year's events.

    5. In many cases I wish I would never see the email announcements so I wouldn't spend. Sigh.

  7. I love the Prom dresses and want the clearance dresses too, since I didn't get them the first time. If only I weren't trying to save and downsize...
