Barbie Shopping Mall Play Set

If I were a kid, this would be at the top of my want list or already in my room. Mattel has really knocked out the big Barbie play sets this past year. A child would need a huge play area to have the  dream house and the mall set up at one time. When fully assembled, the mall is 4 feet wide!  That's plenty of room for more than one child to play.

The Malibu Mall play set is a ToysRUs exclusive selling for $74.99

See the video which shows the fun details. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=34474886&cp=&parentPage=search

  2. Isn't it cool that it has a movie theater? I think Mattel nails it with this one.

  3. Cool and adorable pretty much cover it. Love that they even have a place for your cell phone to watch movies! If it didn't have such a large footprint, I might even consider it. It would be more fun than a house. :-)

    1. I love it, too, but I could never get used to a big pink diorama. I've had two and they didn't stay very long. I wish my cousins were a little younger because they'd be getting it for Chanukah!

    1. Exactly. Is there some scientific relationship between the color pink and things little girls want? Monster High dolls aren't pink and they are popular.

  5. You know--I have a friend/artist who takes these pink Mattel play sets and repaints them--notably, the condo from a few years back. She repainted it a tasteful gray, and it looks so much nicer! I wonder if she has seen this set yet! (And if she would do this on commission, LOL!) And how much my husband would kill me... ;)
