This gal needs a more realistic face-up. Her eyes lack life of any kind. If only I could paint faces realistically, I'd do her over.
The other thing I'd change is the articulated toe joint. It bends the shoe in a strange way. I wonder if I can use an avantguard fashion foot...or perhaps IT will release a fashion foot for her.
She's got beautiful hands and the rest of her articulation is excellent.
I like this fashion. It is well made. Another collector removed the black lace overlay. It was also a good look and closer to the dress style of the original.
I had the original 11-1/2" Natalia "Cosmetic Takeover" doll
She was a holy grail for the longest time and a truly gorgeous doll. Why they had to change her sculpt, I'll never understand.
She was the first and only Natalia ever produced on a straight arm body. I ultimately changed her to a tall body.
Integrity Toys' doll bodies get better, the sculpts—not so much.
I wish they had sold all of those FR16 outfits separate...

DeleteHi Terri, I've heard the heads of the new FR16s are larger then the first set and the old AGs. I've only bought a couple, one with the old "Gold Mine" sculpt and the other the "Spring Kissed" doll ( I think that one must have been a reject prototype for the big Poppy doll since it did seem large and had "duck lips").

I couldn't say as I never had the older ones for very long, if ever. I can't recall. :-)
DeleteHanne does have a simpler? cleaner? look, but that is part of what I like about her, at least for right now. However, that may not stand long term. It would be great to see pictures if someone gives her a more dramatic face-up. The Platinum Society outfit -- especially the hat -- won me over, too. I'm not a fan of the Cosmetic Takeover dress, and it only works at all for me with darker hair dolls. The Integrity dolls with the non-fashion feet are not my favorites due to that aspect. Sometimes the feet don't fit in the shoes properly. I prefer the dolls that have interchangeable feet to wear high heels and flats.
