If I Were A Child

My goodness, the American Girl dolls have it all! The props, the furniture, the pets are all so yummy.
The item pictured above is the Trail Bike with the Pet Trailer attached. Of course the doll's outfit is a Cycling Outfit. Then there's the helmet. It goes on and on. These items are not inexpensive but they are excellent quality.

Other items related to pets are enough to make me swoon.
The Pet Bath Set! How adorable is this?
There are dogs galore - even a service dog. There are all types of horses and saddles. There's a stable with supplies! Party sets, hiking equipment, a pet bed and a carrier. Sigh.
Who says we have to be children to play with childrens' toys? My mind is a playground.

I am enjoying the American Girl Doll website. Here is the link: http://www.americangirl.com/index.php

You know who says it: "Believe in the power of play."  Robert Tonner, that's who.

  1. I get their catalog for some reason, & I love looking through it. You can get a doll that looks like you & matching outfits too. They didn't have that when I was a kid, but I did have a life size doll that could wear my clothes. :-)

  2. I have Felicity... and I love her, and the accessories for these gals... not being a kid has never stopped me. Also, if you can go into one of their stores, do it, they're a wonderland of dolly stuffs.

  3. These dolls first came out after I was "too old to play with dolls" I have always loved them, not so much because of the doll, I mean she is cute, but it is the crap you can buy for her that I love. The first time I went into an American Girl Store I thought I was in paradise. I may have asked a sales person if they also sold daughters there. I saw little girls with their parents picking out their dolls or a new outfit for their doll. I felt a little sad, then I bought something for my Kit doll, walked through the mall to find all my boys at the Lego Store.

    1. That's funny about selling daughters. I love Legos, too.

  4. My husband bought me Samantha, then I bought Kirsten. I really love both of them, they have lots of cute little outfits, and I can fix their hair. I also have a "grown up" collection of Tonners.

  5. I never thought about these type of dolls either until I bumped into a catalog of Maplelea girls in my lawyers office of all places. They are a Canadian version of AGs and I'm going to get one and I couldnt care less what anyone thinks.People think doll collectors have popped a rivet anyway so we may as well get what we want and enjoy it hehe.
