I thought this description was pretty funny. I don't know what weekend long
music festival they're talking about but the original one was a mud fest.

___________

If I collected Poppy Parker, I'd definitely want Sumer of Love. Her hair is lovely and the dress is pretty. On eBay, she has already sold from a low of $277 to a high of $425. There are several higher asking prices currently.
Peace of My Heart seems to be averaging at $400-$450.
Time of The Season looks like it's going for around $340-$375.
Prices will go down as the week progresses.

I like the outfit on the "Peace of My Heart" Companion Doll. It's very cute.
The notice says that the dolls come with an alternate "I love you sign" hand. I don't see it in the photos.

To the photographer who shot these images, I wish you would have used a different background color. I'm not sure what the intention was in using a color so similar and without much contrast to the doll but she is disappearing into it. Were you going for vintage? It didn't work. :-(

The W Club is holding a "right to buy" lottery for what remains of these convention dolls. Members have been sent instructions for entering.

  1. Being a true hippy involved a lot more than being a groupie and looking for rock stars.
Sounds like “hippy”Poppy is just a poser. It was a missed opportunity from the designer to at least touch on the historical movement of being a hippy in the late 60’s. As is, it’s nothing but fluff void of substance,

  2. Teri, The Monterey Pop Festival, which I attended, was not a mud bath.People actually took care of their clothing and appearance, which was the case of most rock festivals in the 1960s. Woodstock was mostly a group of filthy pigs known as hippies. and that was their normal everyday behavior. Used to chase the very fragrant ones from the boutiques I worked in. That shirt I wore for my presentation for Center City Doll Club I wore at Monterey Pop Festival. Gerry
