I would love to go to a Trek convention too but they are expensive. Aside from the main event you have to pay for, there are separate registration packages and hundreds of dollars for break out events like when one of the stars makes an appearance and you want to attend that, you have to pay extra. Add that to the photo-ops that run several hundred dollars too and it is a HUGE expense. Now i understand a lot of the Trek alumni are has-beens acting wise at this point and these photo ops one of the few ways they can make revenue, but some of them are A-listers and to be charging loyal fans 200 dollars to take a picture with them seems outrageous to me.
