That's crazy. She's my grail doll but I refuse to pay more than $200 or so for her (nude) so I doubt I'll ever get her. I sure wouldn't pay over a grand. I just hope that sometime in the near future IT releases another Eden as a redhead.
ReplyDeleteWait long enough and they will. For your sake I hope the facial screening isn't horrid.
DeleteI never liked this doll, lol. I sold mine off right away. The outfit was cheap, and I don't lik the carrot color hair.
ReplyDeleteI would never pay more than retail price for an IT doll. I've read that Style Mantra is already dicoloring on the body, and even worse the head!!!
I have to admit that years ago, when I was starting out, I paid more than retail for IT dolls such as Poesie Sans Couleur and a few others. You can be sure that I haven't done it for many years. The situation with Integrity Toy's Gene dolls is even worse regarding the bodies deteriorating. It's terrible. It takes them years of complaints until they respond to an on-going issue and then you don't even know if their fix will work. Sigh. I like resin.
DeleteI like her and i know it crazy how much she sold for one
ReplyDeleteI understand if it was a resin doll for that price
Center of Attention Poppy sold for over $2,000 last week. Must be some big tax returns :D
ReplyDeleteWonder if it's the same big spender?
DeleteTotal madness - I sold mine for $200, repainted and redressed in an OOAK silk outfit. There is *always* the 'next holy grail' for a doll, and it's never going to hold that value. I quite liked her, she was pretty, but not $1,000 worth of pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou ask why, I ask why not? :)
ReplyDeleteSeems like a set up. As is.. we will never know if the actual money was paid. It just says it was Completed/Sold. Alternate accounts can be made. Just a thought... because I know no one ever frauds on eBay. LOL
ReplyDeleteI heard that some sellers will use different ID to make the price higher, that's why you see same seller selling the same doll over and over again
ReplyDeleteSet ups, eh? It does get fishy sometimes. Here is my personal mystery: How come someone keeps selling Flawless Elise replacement heads with the Sheer Bliss outfit every month or so on Ebay? Where is the secret pipeline to replacement Flawless Elise heads? I think the seller from DE or RI. If you go to the Integrity Co. address, do they have a company store or something? I feel too stupid asking this to put it on W Club or the Doll Page, but I will risk it on Terri's blog! don
ReplyDeleteWhat could possibly go wrong by posting on the W Club? Hahaha.
DeleteShe's a beautifull doll, and she photographs amazingly... That said I wasn't able to bond with mine... And I sold her. Purchased again later, only to sell again. Definitly not bonded. I understand why people love her though :)
ReplyDeleteI sold two of them as well. Then again, I don't usually keep the NuFace dolls anyway.
DeleteShe was my first Nu Face doll. I didn't really like her outfit but I fell for the face. She's still my favorite Eden release.
ReplyDeleteI like eden and lilith but the first dolls that came out remind me of the vive or yuri and kumi which they share the same scultp, this doll to me reminds of yuri and kumi
ReplyDeleteThere is another one listed again..for $999
