wow...is this legal? Roflol!!!!
ReplyDeleteApparently it is very legal.
DeleteYes it is legal because clothing is considered by law to be a "useful article", having an intrinsic utilitarian function, which means you cannot copyright the clothes themselves, or even the design of the clothes.
DeleteGreat finds! For probably the first time ever, I prefer the doll versions. Of course, the pink bow would have to go on the Silkie. I think Gretel's dress has a lovely flow to it and I like the embroidery at the bottom.
ReplyDeleteWhich do you prefer in prototype photos which may vary widely from what we get LOL?

I like the doll Gretel's dress better than the model's because the model looks mannish to me and there's nothing pretty about her. I like pretty on my dolls.
DeleteAs far as the Silkstone fashion, I don't care for either one.
Not going to stop me buying, but these are making me depressed:
ReplyDelete1-They're near identical copies, sometimes right down to the styling zzz I'm VERY disapointed.
2-They only remove cool elements instead of replacing or adding to the dress.
Don't let it get you down. Buy what you love no matter what!
DeleteI think it is pretty cool to have a miniature version of haute couture!
ReplyDeleteMy opinion exactly.

The Evening Gown Silkstone looks like a wedding dress. They should rename the doll, because it looks nothing like what suggests. Its only saving grace is that its an AA Silkstone and not another pasty blonde.
