Body Size Comparison of Tonner Dolls
Carol of Dreamcastle Dolls took this helpful photo of Tonner dolls so we could see the comparison of body types.

Interesting. Thanks for posting. Am I understanding the Pin Up body is upper DeeAnna Denton-ish and the rest of the body is the Tyler style? I had this idea about a year ago.. but I couldn't make it happen. The Neck holes and the arms holes weren't right. I have always wished that Tonner would make the Tyler body have nicer, lady like hands. Oh well...
Cool, glad you posted this. I have been dying to find a pic like this since I'm fairly new to Tyler & Evangeline & trying to buy close dress patterns to Evangeline, though she's missing from this pic, at least I can look at her next to my Tyler.
I think this is great! as i told you, I am a horrible wardrobe clothing thief for my Ellowyne crew purloinng what I can from other like dolls! I know I have to watch out for the waist with the Tonner fashion dolls but some of their outfits are to die for!
This is an incredibly helpful website, thanks! Now I wish sellers on eBay would get their heads around the concept that Gene and Tyler dolls do NOT have compatible bodies!

Sorry to post on an older topic, but I wonder why Tonner decided to make all these different body types. It tough on new collectors because it's hard to find the right sized outfits. All these variances get downright confusing, haha.
Now as for shoes. Who can share? I need a list. And wigs: I have Precarious with Velcro and can't find any to buy with Velcro. Size 5" head. I need a list of all these that share. Thank you anyone Debbie
It's really a complex answer in that the clothes themselves have different styling. If you have a specific doll in question, I will try to answer your query
I would also like to know what clothes Ellowyne can wear. I bought the doll recently, didn't realize there were so many different body types, now I'm not sure what to buy for her...
Tonner makes an enormous amount of clothing for Ellowyne. You can find it on the Wilde Imagination website, on eBay and on doll boards. There's no shortage of seamstresses making clothes as well! Good luck.
Thanks for replying, I do know about WI and ebay. I would still like to know what other doll's clothes that Ellowyne can wear. Can she wear Antionette's clothes? I know another poster said that Antionette can wear Ellowyne but does it also work the other way around?
I just found your post and altho the others are older, I'll still ask...do you have any idea if the changeable hands for Deja Vu are the same as the Nu Mood Tyler? I'm pretty much assuming they are, but am trying to do more than assume...thanks much.

@James: Why is Antoinette the only doll that can sit properly? The newer bodies should have been given those flexible hips. T
ReplyDeleteTerri, you're right. The Tyler body dolls can't sit >_< I have 3 Tonner dolls on that body and it's beyond frustrating.

ReplyDeleteI do not collect Ellowyne. I recommend that you seek out a doll board with other Ello collectors who can answer your questions.

ReplyDeleteIf her elbows are jointed, she is a BA (bending arm) body. I don't know what sr and sa bodies are.
