Two Daydreamers' Exclusive "Forever Yours Ashleigh"

Bride dolls are usually not amongst my favorites. In fact, I don't think I have any except a Tiny Kitty dressed in a bridal gown and I'm not particularly fond of her.
Two Daydreamers has a new, exclusive Ashleigh. Apparently, she is the start of a coming "Bridal Series."
As far as the gown goes, I would have preferred to see a rhinestone encrusted belt instead of the annoying gray bow. There is a great deal of lovely draping on the body of the gown and the bow interferes with those lines. I'm not sure what is going on at the shoulders. The description says "Icy white tulle softens the shoulders and also explodes into a cascade of tulle ruffles at the skirt bottom."  Exploding cascades? LOL Where is her bouquet? It just seems that accessories and embellishment have cheapened up and/or disappeared. She should have glamorous jewelry, perhaps a tiara. At these prices, I want more and they have to stop sticking bows on to gowns.

Here is the description from the website:
Two Daydreamers' exclusive "Forever Yours Ashleigh" - 1st in the classically romantic Bridal Series - 16" Tyler bending wrist body - Cameo skin tone - Ashleigh sculpt - LE100

Ashleigh's sophisticated snowy white taffeta gown is beautifully engineered and cut to drape over the bust and shoulders. The gown's skirt is elegantly draped across the front and released in concentric circles of gently folded fabric caught in the ingenious seaming. Icy white tulle softens the shoulders and also explodes into a cascade of tulle ruffles at the skirt bottom. A contrasting dove grey bow at the waist and silk flowers strewn at the shoulders add to the overall elegance of this drop-dead design. White knit opera length gloves, white faux leather, high-heeled strappy sandals and sparkling diamond-like studs complete her dreamy bridal ensemble.

SALE at Two Daydreamers

There are a few items that are really well-priced at Two Daydreamers. Click on the name of the doll to go to the page and see the picture and details.

Madame Alexander's 21" Lust Cissy   Regular price: $349.95Sale price: $184.95

I won't bore you with the 10" Cissettes that are also on sale but there is a nice selection available.

Tonner's 17.5" Heart Stopper Regular price: $209.99Sale price: $144.99
I like him but I think he'd scare my smaller dolls.
Tonner's 16" Noir #99 Regular price: $249.99 Sale price: $149.99
Don't ask me why I paid almost full retail price.
 Tonner's 16" Ferse  Regular price: $199.99 Sale price: $129.99

There are quite a few dolls available from the last Tonner Convention and the subsequent Halloween Convention. This is the time to get them!

Two Daydreamers has a Clearance Tab filled with goodies and I like browsing there. Just remember - check eBay and other sources before buying because you will find wildly varying prices
Unfortunately, the 21" 85th Anniversary Cissy will never be reduced to a price I am willing to pay.  Original retail price was $1,699.95. "Sale" price $749.99. Ridiculous. I'd rather spend it on a new Sybarite.

Going Platinum Paris, mentioned in the last post sells at $79.95 here as do all the other Jason Wu designed 16" Alex line dolls. She also has Tonner Dolls and a selection from other manufacturers - not all on sale but why not browse anyway. What else do you have to do besides look at dolls?

Integrity Announces New Products

Members of the W Club received notification of the following Monogram dolls and an accessory pack:

This doll is called Discreet. Integrity says that is is based upon last year's doll, Disclosure. They are calling this one a companion doll.  $99.
Discreet on Left; Disclosure on Right (Integrity Toys Images)

Magnificent is a Dressed Doll who is wearing the same gown as the 2010 convention Smoldering centerpiece. The colors are different. This doll retails for $160.
If you don't have this gown, I recommend it. It's quite beautiful the construction is wonderful.
"Magnificent" (Integrity Toys Images)
"Smoldering"

The Accessory Pack includes the resin bust, wig, hat, handbag, shoes and jewelry. Retail price $75. (!)

An interesting addition to the W Club email was the announcement that Integrity would have a booth at IDEX. Sounds like they are joining the world of doll manufacturers. Will there be surprises? Will the W Club get all the information before anyone attending IDEX?  This is going to be very interesting.

Are you going to pre-order any of the above offerings?  I made a decision two months ago that my Monogram collection was complete and unless something amazing came along, I wouldn't be adding new Monograms. I'm going to try to stick to that! I'll let you know how that goes. LOL.

I did treat myself to a new Cissy. It was an impulsive act and I blame it on my friend Ana whose shipping buddy I am. She had me order a bunch of stuff for her last week from Two Daydreamers which I did. I also browsed their excellent sales and unfortunately I did not escape unscathed. I ordered the 21" Vice Cissy. She had been residing on my wish list for almost one year. I know I will love her when she gets here but she needs a poodle instead of that whatever that dog is.

Tonner Doll — Fashion Zombies™ from Re-Imagination

Just when you thought it was safe to sleep in your doll room TDC releases Fashion Zombies™! These two creatures are part of Tonner's Re-Imagination line and are truly knockouts.
My favorite is "Death Becomes Her." I love the promotional photo with it's grey tones and misty mood. The doll has the Magnolia sculpt, brown eyes and cameo skin tone. According to the description on the Tonner site, her hair has been 'heavily styled' for these prototype photos. It kind of looks like what happens when you try to comb out Barbie hair but on this doll it works and it's very sexy.
"This damsel of decay arrives in an ethereal chiffon gown with meticulous shirring over multipatterned mesh tights. Askew chain earrings, matching necklace and criss-cross faux leather high-heeled shoes also included."

The other doll is called "Death By Fashion," a title that sounds vaguely like "Fashion Victim." She has the Lana Lang sculpt, grey eyes and the cameo skin tone. Her eye are verrrry strange and look as if there is no iris or pupil.
"The ghastly undead is swathed in a chartreuse and grey chiffon dress over black multi-patterned mesh tights and lace-up high-heeled shoes. Mesh armbands, gold chain earrings, and intricate chain necklace also included."

Both dolls are on small bust bodies with regular fashion feet.
Suggested retail price is $209.99.
Selling for $178.00 at most Tonner dealers.

Tonner 2009 Fall/Holiday Line is Posted

Dust off those credit cards boys and girls....and get another job. You're going to be wide-eyed and hungry when you look at what the Tonner Doll Company is offering this season. I'm in total dolly shock right now.
They didn't just add to existing lines, they created new ones.
Wait until you see the Sinister Circus Collection:
The Hollywood Glamour Collection of Fashion Ensembles:
Monica Merrill:
Peggy Harcourt, DeeAnna Denton's new nemesis is stunning. Four new Re-Imagination characters are fabulously costumed and spirited. The supposed granddaughter of Daphne Dimples makes an appearance in the Tyler Wentworth line. And....wait for this....a new man is on the horizon! He is Simon Chase, Sydney's brother. He'll be clad in a tuxedo. Yay!
The Tyler dolls are offered in both new and old sculpts and the fashions are to die for.
The new Antoinette line grows larger with four more dressed dolls ranging in price from $174.99 to $249.99. Are you still with me? There are also three separate outfits for Antoinette and three more shoe packs.
I'll be at the Tonner Company store on August 1 to take pictures and gape at the new dolls with the other collectors.
Go to the Tonner Doll website to see the rest - yes, kiddies, there's more.
http://www.tonnerdoll.com/2009fhcollection.htm

I have not escaped unscathed. I just pre-ordered Scintillating Ashleigh, a Two Daydreamers Exclusive, LE100. Ashleigh's sculpt is exclusive to Two Daydreamers and for the first time they have used her head which has been resized to fit Tonner's Antoinette body. When I saw these images I practically fell off my chair.
This gal is sure to sell out fast although they're not exactly giving her away. The retail price is $274.99. Until August 7 she is priced at $249.99. Expected to ship late September.
