Integrity Toys' ITBE "Reflective" and the FR16 Ankle Problem

Of the four available ITBE 16" dolls, I was immediately drawn to Reflective because of her sculpt, her hair and her coloring. As of right now, she is the only one that is sold out. Marl & B does have 2 available for $150. each.

Her one-piece dress isn't the nice quality we're used to with FR16 clothing but the price of the doll was right. I applied my $25 W Club coupon and she cost me $74. plus postage. She came with panties, shoes and stud earrings. I'm looking forward to redressing her.

I do want to have her cartoon brows and possibly her eyes repainted to make them more realistic.

Now let's talk about the ankle joint/foot problem. This is not a new issue but I was hoping it would have been fixed by this time. Elsa Lin and Platinum Society had it in 2014.

When the doll is set down on flat feet, she is fine.

As soon as the ankle joint is enabled the foot turns inward. The doll becomes pigeon-toed and each foot tilts outward.  From left to right: on tip-toes, with toes bent, with shoes.

One can see it in every doll in the promo photos. Some might say that the photographer posed their feet that way to make them look cute.

The issue is that the joint was engineered incorrectly. I have no idea if any collectors have taken issue with this. I'll bet Alain is aware of it but if collectors say nothing, the problem will not go away.

These are very nice dolls. The body needs fixing.

If you have access to the W Club announcement repost thread, go and look at the larger photos. If you have FR16 dolls, how are their feet? Perhaps it was just my three FR16 dolls that had the issue plus this new one. Maybe I'm the only one....

Integrity Toys' ITBE and Jem Dolls Revealed

Five new ITBE dolls were revealed to W Club members on Friday morning June 26. Each will be available by lottery only. The winners will pay $99. each plus shipping.
Each doll is an edition of between 310-375 and will ship upon receipt of payment.
They have the first generation FR2 body, the Monogram body or the NuFace 1.0 body.
As for the fashions, we've seen them all before in other colors.

From left to right they are:

"Night"
Limited Edition Size of 375 Dolls
Head Sculpt: Minx
Body Type:  Monogram
Skin Tone: FR White
Hair Color: Black
(The dress is very unflattering.  Shorten it and put on some chunky jewelry to bring the volume up from her knees to her neckline. I'd cut her hair, too. Too much trouble. She's a mess.)

"Rare Jewel"
Limited Edition Size of 315 Dolls
Head Sculpt: Rayna
Body Type:  Nu.Face 1.0
Skin Tone: Dark A-Tone
Hair Color: Black
(Not only is her dress a repeat, her name is as well.)

"Flawless Impact"
Limited Edition Size of 325 Dolls
Head Sculpt: Dania
Body Type:  Nu.Face 1.0
Skin Tone: Dark A-Tone
Hair Color: Black
(My favorite.)

"Ignite"
Limited Edition Size of 310 Dolls
Head Sculpt: Janay 3.0
Body Type:  FR2 (First Generation)
Skin Tone: Cream
Hair Color: Cherry Brown
(I want her shoes.)

"Media Sensation"
Limited Edition Size of 320 Dolls
Head Sculpt: Alysa 3.0
Body Type:  FR2 (First Generation)
Skin Tone: Cream
Hair Color: Red
(Anyone getting this doll wanting to get rid of the body...contact me.

2015 W Club Holds First Lottery of the Season

The W Club has opened their new doll selling season with an offering of six ITBE (Integrity Basic Edition) dolls. The lottery is for the right to buy and ends on March 11. It is only open to club members. Each doll will cost $99. plus shipping, handling and tax. Members can enter a ticket for each doll. Multiple memberships give multiple opportunities to win with a separate ticket for each entry.
On to the dolls. Reminder - you can click on pictures to see them full-sized.
Entice - Kesenia Sculpt
Love Roulette - Vanessa 2.0 Sculpt

Dark Side - Anja Sculpt

Audacious - Finley Price (New Sculpt)

My Desire - Isha Sculpt

Buxom - Veronique 1.0 Sculpt

My favorites are the Vanessa and the Isha with Anja a close third. I think if Vanessa and Isha had FR2 bodies, I'd really want them. As it is, I entered for only the Vanessa because even though she has the 2.0 sculpt, she looks very pretty.

I find Buxom, the Veronique sculpt, doesn't look like the Veronique I know. It could be the appearance of a smile or the dark skin tone. Something about her is not Vero.

Kesenia is still  total vampire to me with all those teeth showing. But I do like the design of her lingerie more than all the rest.

The new Finley Price sculpt will appeal to those who like smiley dolls. She can be the arch enemy of Agnes. Her skin tone is listed as FR Black.  The other dolls' skin tones are: Vanessa - Light Honey, Anja - Porcelain ,  Isha,  Kesenia and Veronique - A-Tone.

So what do you all think of these ITBE dolls? Is there value here? Will you be entering the lotteries?

Workshop: Time Served

I am still awaiting delivery of my pre-ordered convention collection. The jury is out on those dolls until I see them in person.
The ITBE dolls look cute until you see their dresses and shoes. They are $9.99 Barbie type clothes.
Time served is one of the worst-looking male dolls ever and the photo doesn't make it better.

What do you think of the dolls?

Introducing Black Vanessa

Her name is really "Second Skin" Vanessa. She's the first ITBE doll I've ever purchased. (Integrity Toys Basic Edition.) You may remember back a few short years ago when the first ITBE dolls came out, the dealers practically had to pay collectors to take them off their hands. You can easily see why.
IT has stepped up it's game. The general Fashion Royalty line, recently announced as discontinued, has been transformed into the new ITBE and it's been extremely successful. The dolls have been limited to 300 each and purchase is by lottery win only. Retail price is $75. plus postage which comes to a little over $81. for me. The sculpts have included such classics as Isha (as a ghost)
and now, the original Vanessa as a black woman.

None of the other sculpts, except Monogram, Lillith & Anja which were never changed, is the original sculpt. That's too bad because Adele's original and second sculpt were quite beautiful. Kyori's sculpt was perfect as it was and so was Natalia's.

Anyway, back to black. If I were going to change anything, I'd do her lips a different color. I think her hair is beautiful. The basic black dress with the red belt and red shoes are just fine.
For now she is going to stay in her box until I decide where she belongs.
