We partnered with renowned Chinese couturier Guo Pei once again to create a resplendent two-piece couture look inspired by a design from one of her past collections. Draped in classic Chinese royal blue, this stunning doll features sumptuous dragon embroidery, balancing artistic heritage with contemporary innovation through Guo Pei’s signature craftsmanship. Golden earrings, a sparkly statement ring, and gold-colored pumps complement the custom creation.

Guo Pei is widely known for the intricate and symbolic embroidery she weaves into her couture designs. 

We’re awestruck by her latest outfit, featuring a dragon motif that signifies strength and good fortune.

“The inspiration for this year’s doll comes from a design in one of Guo Pei’s past collections,” says designer Joyce Chen, who also worked with her on the 2022 doll.

“The intricate embroidery is one of the most striking details on this doll,” Joyce says. “We were able to capture all the colors and detailed artwork in this more modern silhouette for a Chinese traditional dress.”

Moschino Barbie® Doll – Caucasian - African American

These dolls disappeared quickly. They were scheduled to go live at 6AM Pacific Time. That would be 9AM my time but they were gone before that. I hate the Barbie.Com website. Either their site crashes or they don't stick to schedules. Really messed up!
I would have ordered one just for the pieces of the outfit I like.
Their faces and bodies are turn-offs IMO.

The retail price of these Gold Label dolls was $150.  Gold Label editions are 25,000 or less.  Must have been a lot less to have disappeared so quickly.

Thanksgiving Feast Barbie Doll

The Thanksgiving Feast Barbie has arrived and I am very pleased that I ordered her! She looks even better in person than the promotional photo.

I will be leaving her in her box. Just look at the background. It's perfect!

Her stand appears to be a vintage type with pins that insert into the bottom of the foot. Yay!

The food tray is nicely detailed and executed and although the doll's hands can't really hold anything, the rubber bands are supporting the tray at a 'believable' angle.

The box was completely tissued and came in it's own mint shipper box inside of another peanut filled box. So how did the upper right corner get smooshed?  It doesn't really bother me but it is noteworthy.

This doll is available for purchase to Barbie Fan Club members for the retail price of $50. One doll per membership. She is a Gold Label and part of the Holiday Hostess Collection. No more than 3100 units will be produced worldwide.

I heartily recommend this doll.

New Hard Rock Cafe Barbie Doll - Available 11/12/09

The 2009 Gold Label Hard Rock Cafe doll has been revealed. She's different. I've learned not to judge Barbie dolls by their promotional photos which are almost always much better than the real thing.

I can say that the price is too high. They're all going up and that's not good.
