Heads-Up, Sasenachs! Outlander Dolls by My Immortals

The STARZ television series, Outlander, has captured my imagination and that of many others. It has motivated me to read the books which are huge. I'm on #4.
Susan Hook, the artist behind My Immortals, has recreated Claire and Jamie by repainting Tonner's Lilah and James Dean dolls.
Check these out!

The stars IRL
Heughan is a hottie. Phew. Claire is very pretty. Normally they are not so clean - in the show, that is.
I love the series and the books. Hopefully Tonner will produce a Claire and Jamie. I'd want Jamie in full Scottish dress. Sigh.

Dougal MacKenzie is pretty hot himself.

  1. Jamie is such a dish! I was wondering if there would be action figures or dolls. These repaints are very close to the characters' likenesses. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I've been hoping Tonner would tackle them! These are fantastic! Maybe he'll be inspired.

    1. Tonner does most male figures/costumes very well. Fingers crossed.

    2. I asked him at Modern Doll Convention, and he said he was. When? Let's hope for a 2016 release!

  3. well, having read the books up to the one just published and seeing the first episode last night I have to say she did a good job capturing the two main characters and Dougal from the series. In the book Jamie is suppose to be a flaming ginger and Claires' eyes are suppose to be an intense gold color and hair is suppose to be thick out of control curls. As my dads family name is one on the monument at Culloden and that massacre is what sent his forefather from France to Louisiana in the aftermath [apparently more than a couple of the young boys that had fought were smuggled out that way as girls] people practically sat on me until I read the books then the same with the series. It looks like it will be good but I still wish they added more red to Jamies' hair to keep him in character as that was a main part about him in the story

  6. Whereas Claire's character most definitely had whisky eyes (Caitriona Balfe's are blue) her television portrayal aptly captures Claire's hair. You'll need more than one episode to see it, though. Jamie's hair is NOT flaming red in the books. Most often it is compared to the color of a deer pelt. I've met him in person, up close, and can tell you it is the perfect shade of red. On TV, it sometimes look darker due to lighting.

The artist did a wonderful job with these! I am EXTREMELY impressed! I would love to have these! Beautifully done!

  7. I am thrilled everyone loves these dolls. I am happy to say they are mine! They are OOAK dolls I had commissioned. Susan Hook did a fantastic job reproducing the appearance on Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe in the roles of Jamie and Claire. I sent her two Tonner dolls (James Dean and Meagan Fox) and she transformed them. Jamie even has whip scars on his back. Funny, I sent Susan those same two pictures of the actors posted here, along with many stills from the show.

I am currently working on their clothes, attempting to reproduce some of the costumes from show.

    2. I will! Thank you. :)

BTW Jamie's hair is redder than in the picture, more like in the show. For some reason the camera cannot capture the color accurately.

  8. BTW The Jamie doll's hair is much redder in person, more like the series still of Jamie in Highland kilt. For some reason the camera doesn't capture the color accurately. Both dolls are even more incredible in person.

  9. Thanks Terri for posting these and for "Anonymous" (and I and you know who you are! lol!) I appreciate all the really mic comments on my work. As my client said, his hair is dark, burnished copper but the color could not be captured in the camera!
