Random Musings and Talc

Still waiting for the official pictures of the 2011 convention collection and the Saturday night dolls. I would love to share those with my readers as my dolls won't be here for a while. I should have Vanessa, Tatyana and the table gifts in about 3 days.

Integrity Toys announced an Avantguard revamp. Not only will they have a 16 inch version of the FR2 body, their name will now be FR16. Is that Fashion Royalty to the sixteenth power or F R Sixteen? This will be a welcome change to those who have clamored for a more stable body for these dolls. Going forward, they will be rooted dolls. Three prototypes were shown. Unfortunately I don't have images of those either. They look pretty good and their sculpts also look changed but I'm not sure about that. I have not seen pricing information.

There will be three new Monogram dolls released in December. They're calling it a Holiday collection. I get the red/green holiday reference connection.

Talc had a little photoshoot in one of Tonner's older fashions last week. I'm not ready to cover up her entire body in fashion yet. I'm enjoying seeing it posing.

  3. Terri - I'm tempted to buy her just so I can set her up beside my menorah and take pictures. :)

  4. @Jen: That would be fun. I like the green one best of all. Her makeup is the prettiest and the colors are unusual.

  5. Terri Your pics of talc are quite amazing, adn her lips go very well with that fashion!!!
re the Monogram. jubilation (the one in green) is simply AMAZING if the final product is anything close to the prototype shown, I'll be loving her every day!! LOL, the other 2 are Ok the one in red and pink is cute but should have had shoes ina different color ( integrity design team should look at fashion magazines this mtchie matchie stuff is so 1995 is not even funny) and the one in blue blah...a blonde in blue, why notn give her a simple and yet more elgant hair style that side swept thing is just not right.
re the FR16 I am excited about them I liked what I'd like to know when we should expect them, I asked about this on Pink parlor but since I don't belong to any cliques there I was utterly IGNORED.

  6. @Dolling Boy: You can always ask me...unfortunately information on the timing of the new 16 inchers was not specifically offered.

  7. Up close, I don't think the molds for the Monos have changed. They've just changed the screening, and the hairline shapes are different. I don't know for a fact though.

I adore the red one's face, and will sell the gown.

  8. Terri - I also like the green one best. Too bad she clashes with the Chanukah theme. ;)

Maybe I'll just look for a blue gown I can buy and use one of my existing dolls. That sounds like a much cheaper option.

  10. I like the Monogram red gown with the raven hair. I ordered her today, despite some price resistance, a promise to my hubby (and myself) to slow down on the doll purchases, and my desire to upgrade my collection to resin dolls.
You can imagine how long I last with New Year's Resolutions! LOL

  13. I am loving the green outfit. As for the dolls, thankfully the monograms are NOT for me, so I'm "safe" =)

  14. Those knee joints kind of make her look like a mutant from nuclear fall-out. Considered buying a Sybarite at one time but for the prices they charge, their faces would have to be strikingly beautiful for me to pay that kind of money. Give me a Jamieshow doll any day - now they have beautiful faces for half the price!!
