BIC Removed From Official Integrity Dealer List

A notice was sent out to W Club members earlier today regarding the end of business with BIC in Japan. I requested permission to reproduce parts of the email but was asked by Alain to please stay out of it.  (?)
The letter asks collectors to pass on the information to other collectors who may have ordered from BIC.

What I can say (I've said this already) is that if you had a pre-order for any (Integrity Toys or other) products placed with a deposit to BIC, get your money back.  IT is offering to help you get the doll you pre-ordered if possible. You will need a receipt of sorts proving that you did have a confirmed pre-order.

Kazue, if you happen to read this, please know that my husband and I are pulling for you. Rudy, too.

  1. That seems so cold, quick and final.

    Stunning.

  4. I wonder why they want you to leave it alone? It is in the best interest that collectors realise that from now on BIC is not figuring in the International Dealers IT list, and that they (IT) will try to get the dolls for whoever pre-ordered them with BIC...

I wish with all my heart that Kazue is safe, and I also wish all over the world collectors get their $$ back.

  5. I suspect there is some serious legal issues with IT and BIC. Another Japanese dealer stated some Misaki dolls are stuck in China because the official distributor went out of business.

  6. Oh, that IT chap still replies in the same disagreeable manner.

I remember writing IT on behalf of a Berlin official IT dealer asking if she was still in business as the offers on her site were scarce even in the middle of the "season".

The reply by Mr. Tremblay was "probably everything has sold out", and maybe I would care to propose another suited European dealer to them and some other unfriendly stuff.

In the end that Berlin dealer went broke and was finally removed from the IT list, which is bad enough.

But she's not gone missing, as she's still selling her left over FR dolls on ebay.

But with Kazue being Japanese with a different codex of honour I fear a lot worse.

  8. IT told me they couldn't help me get my money back or buy the dolls from anyone else.

  9. Concerning the anonymous post dtd 27th: so do I.

Concerning the second one from the 28th: IT are as customer unfriendly as ever. They could at least give the money they received as a pre-payment from Kazue back to the respective pre-order BIC customers.

So those would only suffer about a 50 % loss from a whole amount pre-payment. But probably IT will then argue they don't want to make public the retailers' purchase prices. As if nobody knew about pricing...

As an alternative, they could sell the pre-ordered dolls to the customers directly, a procedure they practice all the time. Just leave out the now unfortunately missing retailer, BIC.

  10. Anyone ever think of doing a charge back on your credit cards? Just state you never got your order. No lie there right?
